Glamorous gold, billowing floral displays, and a classic style combine to create an exceptionally elegant wedding in our latest Real Wedding Story. From the private venue to their bespoke wedding stationery, the attention to detail and personal touches gave this occasion a wow factor like no other. Top it all off with a cocktail-fuelled Gatsby party and it really doesn’t get much better than this.
We were delighted when award-winning wedding planners, Fabulous Together, called on us to contribute to Rachel and Robert’s very special day.
Rachel and Robert
Eleven happy years after meeting on their first day at university, Rachel and Robert decided to tie the knot. Robert arranged to meet with Rachel’s father in London to request her hand in marriage – he agreed, and Robert was over the moon when she ultimately said yes.
You’ve been there for every single moment in my adult life. I’m just absolutely over the moon that you’ve agreed to be there for the rest of them – Robert
An Elegant Wedding Theme
Rachel and Robert took inspiration from their venue choice – Rachel’s parents’ stunning home – to create their wedding theme. Getting married in the place where she grew up meant it was important to Rachel that the day felt personal. Along with the expert wedding planning team, Fabulous Together, they decided a classically elegant wedding with a special touch of glitz would be perfectly fitting.
We loved that we could use different parts of the house for each element of our day.
A neutral colour palette was used to complement the elegant wedding theme. Creams, ivory, champagne and bursts of gold sparkle ran throughout the many elements of the day, from the order of service cards to the breath-taking floral displays and dazzling bridesmaid’s dresses.
Different areas of the house or garden offered unique spaces for each part of the day. This included relaxed al fresco speeches on the terrace, dinner in a marquee adorned with an incredible floral installation and a separate marquee for the evening reception. They even had a hydrangea love heart floating in the swimming pool.
The food and drink were out of this world and the cocktail bar was exceptional!
In the evening, a second marquee transformed their elegant wedding day into a fabulous Great Gatsby party. Extravagant décor in black and gold, music, dancing, and carefully crafted cocktails started a party their guests will remember forever.
There was a complete transformation from day to night. Our band made sure the dancefloor was full all night and we loved every minute of it – Rachel and Robert
Rachel and Robert’s Wedding Stationery
For Rachel and Robert, it was important that the wedding stationery was in-keeping with the elegant wedding theme. To complement the colour scheme, they chose to print their invitations on ivory card with gold foil for a glitzy finish.
We worked with Rachel and Robert to personalise their wedding invitations and on-the-day stationery. A bespoke cross keys emblem design was used throughout to represent the college where they’d met at university. Their invitation envelopes were sealed with gold foil wedding stickers and inside they were lined with a map highlighting the key places they have lived together.
As they arrived at the ceremony, guests were handed an order of service card adorned with a sketch of the 14th-century church. Later, they chose to present their Script wedding table plan on an easel, framed by more of their beautiful neutral coloured flower arrangements.
Each table had a matching wedding table name card, themed by places that are dear to their hearts and guests found their seat via a wedding place card with the cross keys emblem on the back. Complete with gold foil printed menus and exquisite floral table centre-pieces, the reception dinner tables looked amazing.
Our wedding stationery had to be fabulous quality and include a personalised touch with a hint of glitz. The foil invites were absolutely perfect. – Rachel and Robert
About the Script Collection
Although much of their wedding stationery was bespoke, Rachel and Robert also used our Script Collection to complete their reception decor. The graceful, flowing font and simple design are ideal for an elegant wedding day. An ivory and gold combination is effortlessly stylish, while rose gold on blush card is becoming increasingly popular too.
